It in their minds

Ever since purchasing Fox Channel, I became really really  hooked watching CRIMINAL MINDS. It isn’t any other original CSI show, it ever more mind-blowing and sink deep into the minds of the criminal more than just the crime. It sets me really thinking of whether we criminal is nurture or born by chance. Nevertheless, it really does BLOW YOUR MIND  as the seasons move on.

Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson), Jennifer Jareau (AJ Cook), Dr Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler), David Rossi (Joe Mantegna), Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster), Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore) Missing: Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangness)

From what I have seen, there are couple of switching of casts but this is indeed the best cast you can ever get! The ever-ready Unit Chief Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) who is obviously the man of the show. Every single episodes portraying his charism and leadership in leading the team, not to forget that cute little son he has that perhaps make every female out there going “awwwwww, so cute!” Oh, seeing Hotchner smile is like waiting for rain in desert, really extremely rare. Next, we have the wise old man David Rossi (Joe Mantegna), providing wisdom to the team all the time. The handsome looking Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore) who always out there braving the front line for the team, not to forget those gorgeous abs that he has! Followed by the female casts, firstly is Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangness) that are really big and the forever “My Baby Girl” to Morgan. Interestingly, there are few episodes that using her a the lead like the one where she was stalked by an agent from other team whom shot her to get some data and the episode whereby she witness the murder. I must say she is brilliant in IT and her big fashion sense. Secondly, the female version of Derek Morgan – Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster), I was so worried that she may not renew her contract and there goes her role, thank god she did so the team will still be intact. The mysterious Emily Prentiss has the most stories to tell and is one of those character that will catch the eyes of the audience.Lastly, Jennifer Jareau (AJ Cook) who is the PR of the team, seriously missing her so much in season 6 and was delighted that she is coming back! I must say among all the female cast, I like JJ the best cause her friendliness is beyond description and her capability is more than you can imagine. Have to mention how the team especially Hotchner rely on her for connection and personal console.

In case you are wondering, I did leave someone out whom is no other than my favorite Dr Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler). The youngest in the cast but I believe was given the heaviest role as the character background is complicated and full of doubtful point. From a father that left him and a mentally ill mother who is living in the mental hospital, and him as a genius to the team, reading documents faster than any other member, he is truly the best role ever! He does have a couple of episodes for his character. Nevertheless, Matthew is quite pretty for boy, his white skin and really skinny long figure that carry his guns in such a weird position that I always laugh, but anyway, since season 6, he has put on some weight and is getting better! As what I will say, a dose of Spencer Reid, bring your world goes round and round.

Enough of the casts, but watch each episodes mindfully especially those that can really touching your heart, remembering my first episodes that the murder was out killing people due to the fact he witness a killing of his mum by a man who intended to be his step-father. He did killed the mothers who wanted to re-marry but in this special last murder, the child was half-blind, he forge a strong bond with the child and in the last scene where they were in a ferry wheels, he told him, “never regret your every action. Forgive me and grow up well” before ending his life, leaving the boy to freedom.

I suppose with a different perspective into how crime should be seen and a full- developed cast, Criminal Minds is a show worth watching and a daily dose is never enough. With the latest season, season 7 out by 21st September 2011, its time for my dose of Spencer Reid :)
